My name is Karen Lambert and I am a qualified counsellor based in Yalding, near Maidstone. I understand that sometimes life can be difficult and being able to talk to a therapist can be very helpful.
My approach to therapy is open, honest and down-to- earth, and I am a firm believer in the counselling process and the good that it can do.

My Qualifications
Advanced Diploma
I have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, which incorporates 3 counselling approaches – Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis.
These words may not mean much to you, but what's important for you to know is that at the core of all of these approaches is the belief that as the client, you know
how to help yourself. You are the one who knows how to get where you’d like to be, although it may not feel like it at the time, and it is my role to support you.
working ethically and competently
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to their code of ethics, to ensure that my work with you is safe and in your best interest. This organisation insists that I am supported in my work and that I have regular supervision, so that I am able to help you as best as I can.

I also attend regular Continual Professionals Development (CPD) training courses as part of my professional qualification, including:
Neuroscience in the therapy room, Attachment theory, Working with Generalised Anxiety Disorder, CBT with heart, Trauma, PTSD and the Body, Working with Survivors of Domestic Abuse
